JulieVancouver, BC – Studio 58, the nationally renowned professional theatre training program at Langara College, has announced a spectacular line-up of theatre performances for the it's 47th season.

The season will kick off with the provocative Attempts On Her Life, by Martin Crimp, which debuts on September 27 and runs until October 14. It will be followed later in the year by The Government Inspector by Jeffrey Hatcher, playing from November 15 to December 2. Studio 58 will perform Spring Awakening, A Musical and Balm in Gilead in early 2013. The group will also perform two "Risky Nights" creations.

"The 47th Season at Studio 58 promises once again to offer our students and audiences a wide range of theatre experiences," said Kathryn Shaw, Studio 58's Artistic Director. "From the edgy contemporary British play Attempts On Her Life, to the raucous comedy classic The Government Inspector, to a blast back to the 60’s with Balm in Gilead plus two new Risky Nights creations, the season guarantees some of the best theatre Vancouver has to offer. Of special note is the musical, Spring Awakening. Studio 58 will present the BC Premiere of this New York and London hit. Join us to see tomorrow’s stars on the Studio 58 stage today!"

Studio 58 productions are an integrated training opportunity for both actors and production students. For almost five decades Studio 58 students have gone on to successful careers on stage, screen, and film across Canada and elsewhere.
