Now that you’ve applied to Langara what’s next? How do you submit documents? When will you hear back? How will you be contacted? What does the email you received mean? This section will try to help you navigate all things post-application.

Submitting Documents

To find what documents are required for your program, go to programs and courses, select your program, and select admissions requirements.

Supplemental requirements such as resumés and reference letters can be uploaded during the online application process through the EducationPlannerBC website. If you have already submitted your application, email your supplemental documents to admissions@langara.ca.

Transcripts cannot be uploaded through the EducationPlannerBC website and must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office using one of the options listed below.

If you have completed post-secondary, International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), or A Level (Advanced Level) courses and will be applying for transfer credit after being admitted to a program, we recommend sending us all of your official transcripts from these institutions. Learn more about transfer credit.

If you are applying as an international student, visit the international students page for more information.

Additional Information or Documents Required for a Limited Enrolment Program

  • It is common for current high school applicants to receive this email when applying to a Limited Enrolment program because of the additional admission requirements associated with these types of programs. Applicants will be required to meet all admission requirements before a provisional offer can be issued.
  • Check the admission requirements for your program and submit all required documents to the Registrar's office. Academic requirements (e.g. English 12 with minimum 70%) can be met with interim grades, once they are available.
  • Ensure you have provided your Personal Education Number (PEN) to the Registrar's office. Email admissions@langara.ca or call 604.323.5241 (option 2, 1, then 1).
  • To submit your transcripts complete step 2 or 3 below.

Use the Student Transcripts Service (STS) tool to grant Langara access to your electronic high school transcript. Ensure Langara has access to your grades for one year; this is the default option in the STS. By completing this step, the Registrar's office will be able to retrieve both your interim and final grades once they become available. Learn more about ordering a transcript through STS.

Submit your interim transcript to the Registrar’s Office as soon as it becomes available. An interim transcript is required for provisional acceptance.

Interim transcripts show your current grades for in-progress high school courses. Once the course is complete, you will receive a final grade. Interim grades can be used to register for Langara courses in June, when registration for fall begins.

Interim transcript deadline: May 15
BC high school students, who have granted Langara access to their high school grades via STS, are not required to order an interim transcript.

Once you have received a provisional acceptance, provided us with an interim transcript, and accepted your offer, you will be able to register when registration for the fall term starts. For a detailed information about how to register visit the registration guide.

We need to receive your final transcripts to confirm that you have successfully graduated high school. Applicants who will be under 19 years of age at the start of fall semester classes, and who cannot confirm their graduation, will be dropped from their registered classes in mid-August. If you are a current high school student, ensure that you have ordered your electronic transcript to be sent to Langara through the Student Transcripts Service (STS) and have given authorization for us to access your grades for one year.

Non-High School Applicants

Application Reactivation

If you have applied to an open enrolment program for a specific semester but do not register for any courses for that semester, you will have to reactivate your application for the semester that you choose to attend. Reactivation requests are subject to the same deadline dates as new applications.

You are strongly advised to submit reactivation requests to Registrar & Enrolment Services as soon as possible. Reactivation of an application is free if you reactivate for one of the two semesters immediately following the semester that you originally applied for.

To reactivate, you must complete a Reactivation form. Reactivation forms are available here or at the Registrar & Enrolment Services Office. Submit the completed form to admissions@langara.ca.
