Women's Soccer's Loren Lidin & Taryn Lim Named CCAA All-Canadians
Two Langara College Falcons were honoured last night at the CCAA Women’s Soccer All-Canadian Banquet hosted in Etobicoke, Ontario by Humber College. Third Year goal keeper, Loren Lidin (Port Moody, Gleneagle Secondary), and first year defender, Taryn Lim (Richmond, McNair Secondary), were both named CCAA All-Canadians.
“This is tremendous achievement for these two athletes,” stated Clayton Munro, Director of Athletics and Intramurals. “To be named a CCAA All-Canadian is a very special distinction, and one that they should be very proud of. Receiving this award is a testament to them as hardworking and committed student-athletes, as well as a reflectionof their fellow teammates, the coaching staff and entire Women’s Soccer program.”
Each year the CCAA announces 11 male and female CCAA All-Canadians who represent the very best college soccer players from across the country. Historically, Lidin and Lim mark Langara's 71st and 72nd CCAA All-Canadians across all sports, the 16th and 17th for the Langara Women's Soccer program, and the 9th and 10th over the nine year tenure of Head Coach Ryan Birt.
